SUMMER CHECK LISTS

 WEEK 1 CHECK LIST

— I have started my blog and formatted as Prof. Smith instructed. I have added in the sidebar a professional looking photo and a text box labeled ABOUT ME. I have written a bio blurb of two or three paragraphs.

— I have written a regular post of at least 300 words as a reflection on the Supreme Court video. I have made sure to include visual elements and links.

— I have done research with my partner about the Bible and slavery. I have written my half of a blog post in which I argued either for or against slavery based on religion. I have combine my research with my partner's research to create a single blog post of about 300 words. I have added visual elements and links.

— I have done my research for the EOTO or Mock Trial project. I have practice using Claude to do the research on my topic. I have asked Claude to shape it into a script for an oral presentation of exactly FOUR minutes, no more or less. I have practice the presentation multiple times using my cell phone's stop watch function. I have also had Claud help me shape the research into the form of a blog post of between 500 and 600 words. I have added visual elements and links to this KEY POST.

— I have had a conversation with my partner about the Eight Values of Free Expression. I have launched a Key Post on my blog about the theory that jumps out at me the most — why it resonates most with me, why it feels most important to be now because of things going on in the world or in my life. I have strengthened my persuasive writing by bringing examples with links. I have also added visual elements to help break up the type to make it more pleasurable to read.

— I am looking over my notes in preparation to do Quiz 1 and Quiz 2, which are open-note quizzes on Blackboard. I will have them done by the deadline on Tuesday.
